Donaire Enjoys Holiday in Japan

By Joe Koizumi

Former five-time world champ Nonito Donaire visited Tokyo, Japan, for vacation with his family, and had a light training at Yokohama Hikari Gym on Monday (June 26). Nonito was asked for sparring by his friend and Japanese bantam ruler Ryo Akaho (30-2-2, 19 KOs), and engaged in a four sessions before our press people. Donaire looked speedy and sharp against the free-swinging Akaho who had previously failed to win the vacant WBA 118-pound belt via second-round demolition at the hand of Phuengluang Sor Singyu in Thailand in 2015.
