Wlodarczyk: Nothing to lose, I will not disappoint

By Przemek Garczarczyk

“I was just 25 years old when I became a world champion. Recently, I looked at my first belt, lying somewhere in a utility room … and I liked the feeling. It brought back great memories,” said former IBF/WBC cruiserweight champion Krzysztof Włodarczyk (53-3, 37 KOs). “Diablo” just started his training camp in Warszawa (Poland) before his first World Boxing Super Series fight against current IBF champ, undefeated Murat Gassiev (24-0, 17 KO).

“I have nothing to lose. I will do everything what I can, everything, to not disappoint myself. Whatever happens in the end, it’s God’s will anyway” stated Włodarczyk. The Gassiev-Włodarczyk World Boxing Super Series cruiserweight quarterfinal bout is expected to happen in October at a venue on the US East Coast.
